Job Description:
Certified Lawn Spray Pesticide/ Herbicide Technician. Must be dependable, have a positive attitude and certified in category 3. Must be able to read instructions, complete reports and make mathematical calculations required for mixing and application of chemicals. Possess a valid driver’s license,  Have the ability to train Pesticide/ Herbicide Technician trainees in proper equipment operations and horticultural/ agronomic chemical application. Ability to identify common landscape plants, turf-grasses, diseases, insects and pests.
• Identify and implement pest control programs of ornamentals, turf, and other landscape material.
• Conduct site inspections and report any pest or disease conditions
• Be familiar with all safety procedures including safe operation of all equipment, understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), use of   aPersonal Protection Equipment (PPE).
• Understand Federal, State, local, site, and company procedures and policies.
• Maintain records, chemical inventory and monitor hazardous waste in accordance with applicable State, Federal and company policies and aprocedures.Physical Requirements:Must be able to bend down, lift fertilizer bags, work in extreme temperatures, walk, stand or be on your feet for along periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.

Must be able to bend down, lift fertilizer bags, work in extreme temperatures, walk, stand or be on your feet for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day. Stoop or reach periodically throughout a normal workday. Must have normal or corrected hearing and eyesight to work around vehicle traffic.
